Stephen Ministry

Stephen Ministry

Our Stephen Ministry program equips lay people to provide confidentially, one on one Christian care to individuals in our congregation and community who are experiencing crisis or difficulties in their lives. These tough times may include:

-Loss of a loved one
-Separation or divorce
-Terminal illness
-Aging
-Unemployment or job crisis

The identity of those receiving care and what takes place in each relationship remains private. Stephen Ministers meet with their care receivers for about an hour each week for as long as needed.

Stephen Ministers receive 50 hours of training in emotional and spiritual care. The entire ministry team meets twice a month for peer supervision and continuing education.

Are you in need of meeting with Stephen Minister? or Are you feeling called to be trained as a Stephen Minister?
