Key Scripture: Jonah 4
The third question to determine whether you have a Jonah heart or a Jesus heart is: Are you going to receive what God gives with gratitude and joy? Jonah built a shelter from the hot sun, but God provided a vine that offered even better shade. Jonah was very happy and basked in its comfort—until God took it away. Suddenly, Jonah was very angry about the loss of something he had neither created nor cared for. And then God asks love’s lingering question: How can you be upset about the death of a vine and not upset about the death of an entire city of my people?

La tercera cuestión para determinar si tú tienes el corazón de Jonás o el corazón de Jesús es: ¿Vas a recibir lo que Dios da con gratitud y alegría? Jonás se construyó un refugio contra el calor del sol, pero Dios proveyó una enredadera que ofrece mejor sombra. Jonás estaba muy contento y nos hemos sumergido en su comodidad, hasta que Dios se lo llevó. De repente, Jonás estaba muy enojado por la pérdida de algo que él no había creado ni atendido. Y entonces Dios pregunta la pregunta persistente de amor: ¿Cómo puede estar molesto por la muerte de una viña y no molesto por la muerte de toda la ciudad de mi pueblo?
