Mask Update and an Invitation to a Celebration in April

    02.22.22 | Coronavirus COVID-19 COVID-19 Updates by Kevin Baker

    Oakdale Family,

We have been through a tough two years continuing to deal with the pandemic. God has been faithful in bringing us through and continues to use us in new and exciting ways as disciple-makers. Hearing about your obedience to His call on Sunday mornings has been a blessing! We are thankful for you and your family engaging in partnership with us! Keep reading for a teaser about a wonderful celebration coming in April.

As of today, February 22, masks are no longer required indoors in Montgomery County. As a result, masks are now optional for most people indoors at Oakdale. I know many of us will hear this announcement with joy but for others this may cause anxiety and fear. We invite you to gather and remain gracious with each other as we all come to terms with the change. Please feel free to continue to wear a mask according to your comfort level. Details of this change are shown below:

    • Masks are optional indoors for adults, kids, and elementary volunteers
    • Masks will remain required for pre-school and nursery volunteers (as this age group is not yet eligible for vaccination).
    • The Ark Pre-School will also continue their current required mask policy

It is with great excitement that we want to invite you all to an Oakdale Family Welcome Home Celebration on Sunday April 10 (Palm Sunday). We will meet outside for one service, at 10AM. There will be a time of worship, disciple-making stories, and joy that comes from being all together. After the service, we will have food trucks and activities for our kids and families. It is our hope that you will spend time gathering with folks you know, and have not seen in some time, as well as meeting and greeting new people. We want to invite you back to engage fully with Oakdale and our Disciple-Making mission. If weather gets in the way our rain date is April 24. Please mark your calendar and plan to be here and part of the party! Our staff are certainly excited to see you soon!

    Blessings,
    Oakdale Staff
