Dear Oakdale Family,
Here is the result from the March 5, 2023 Disaffiliation Vote Church Conference:
- 206 Voted for Disaffiliation
- 66 Voted Against Disaffiliation
- 4 Abstentions
With 75% of those members of Oakdale present, and voting to disaffiliate, the measure to disaffiliate from the United Methodist Church passed.
Thank you to everyone who came out to make their voice heard during the almost 3 hour Church Conference for the vote. More information on the next steps, including future scheduled votes on approving the cost to disaffiliate and to decide future alignment for Oakdale (independent or with another denomination) will come in the coming months.
