Confessions of a Struggling Parent: Letting Go, Part 3

by Kevin M. Baker on August 31, 2020

Key Scripture: 2 Timothy 3:10-17

Recently, following a youth retreat, several teenage girls shared testimonies in our youth worship service with a common theme: difficult father-daughter relationships. Dads, regardless of how old your daughter is, she needs constant reminders of your love. You need to hug her often and tell her that she is beautiful. During adolescence, if they don’t receive your physical and verbal affection, they will seek it from a young man at a price. Daughters need affirmation from their father even when they are grown up and have children of their own.
