Key Scripture: Mark 9:23
To truly believe in Jesus is to trust Him in all situations. “ ‘If you can’? said Jesus. ‘Everything is possible for him who believes’ ” (Mark 9:23). When toddlers are learning to walk, they are wobbly and need to hang on to something to stay on their feet. Walking in faith is the same way: We stand up and feel shaky and we want to go back to relying on religious devotion or good works. It will take time and feel awkward to learn to trust in all circumstances. Every single moment, we are faced with the critical question—Do I trust Jesus?—and we make a choice either to rationalize or to believe.

Creer de verdad en Jesús es confiar en él en todas las situaciones. “¿Puede usted?” Jesús dijo. “Para el que cree, todo es posible” (Marcos 9:23). Cuando los pequeños niños están aprendiendo a caminar, se tambalean tienen la necesidad de aferrarse a algo para mantenerse en pie. Caminar en la fe es de la misma manera: Nos ponemos de pie, nos sentimos débiles y queremos volver a confiar en la devoción religiosa y las buenas obras.
