Key Scripture: Matthew 6:1-13
“Your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven” (Matthew 6:10). If we don’t understand and surrender to this verse, then the rest of the prayer is meaningless. The kingdom and the will of God were at the center of Jesus’ teachings and the sole basis for his life, death and resurrection. Jesus opened the door and declared that the kingdom of God is here. We are born into an earthly kingdom, but we can voluntarily be born again into God’s kingdom. Many of us have asked Jesus to save us from the consequences of our sin. But God expects to be more than just our “fire insurance.” This may be the most difficult question you’ll ever face: Is Jesus the Lord of your life? The kingdom of God exists for each of us when we submit to God’s reign and rule in our life.
Viviendo en Oración: la elección de tu reino

“Venga tu reino, hágase tu voluntad en la tierra como en el cielo” (Mateo 6:10). Si no entendemos y nos rendimos a este versículo, entonces el resto de la oración no tiene sentido. El reino y la voluntad de Dios estaban en el centro de las enseñanzas de Jesús y la única base de su vida, muerte y resurrección. Jesús abrió la puerta y declaró que el reino de Dios está aquí. Nacemos en un reino terrenal, pero voluntariamente podemos nacer de nuevo en el reino de Dios. Muchos de nosotros hemos pedido a Jesús salvarnos de las consecuencias de nuestros pecados. Pero Dios espera ser algo más que nuestro “seguro contra incendios.” Ésta puede ser la pregunta más difícil que alguna vez se ha realizado: ¿Es Jesús el Señor de tu vida? El reino de Dios existe para cada uno de nosotros cuando nos sometemos al reinado y gobierno de Dios en nuestra vida.
