Experiencing the life you’ve always wanted here and for eternity requires that you confront the obstacles that stand between you and God. There is a huge obstacle in the way of the rich young man’s relationship with God: money. What behaviors, beliefs or possessions have you acquired that you are unwilling to let go of? Jesus says letting go is non-negotiable. If you don’t care enough to give yourself entirely to him, then you won’t have abundant life. He won’t twist your arm or try to work out a mutually acceptable deal. He’ll let you walk away because he honors you with freewill. However, if you’re willing to give him your all, there is no limit to what God can accomplish in your life.

Vivir la vida que siempre has querido aquí y por toda la eternidad requiere que te enfrentas a los obstáculos que se interponen entre tú y Dios. Hay un gran obstáculo en el camino de la relación del joven rico con Dios: el dinero. ¿Qué comportamientos, creencias o posesiones has adquirido que no estás dispuesto a dejar ir? Jesús dice que dejar ir es no negociable. Si Dios no te importa lo suficiente como para darse totalmente a él, entonces tú no tendrás una vida abundante. No va a dar tu brazo a torcer o tratar de llegar a un acuerdo mutuamente aceptable. Él va a dejar que te vayas porque te honra con libre albedrío. Sin embargo, si tu estás dispuesto a darle su lugar, no hay límite a lo que Dios puede lograr en tu vida.
